Our Story

Planting Seeds.

In 2014, Katrina Wilcox and her family moved from a small town in Illinois to an affluent north suburb of Chicago with hopes of better employment and schooling opportunities. By 2016, they were homeless due to the higher costs of living, low working wages and lack of access to affordable housing.

The unfamiliarity with the area made it even more difficult to access resources
and simple essentials such as healthy food and hygiene products to ease the day-to-day struggles and provide her family the tools they need to get through the school day with confidence and comfort.

Through this experience a seed was planted, Club Tree’dHouse.

Today, we desire to be a part of the solution to problems that families and young peopleĀ face on a daily basis. By distributing hygiene essentials, and offering healthy alternatives to meet basic needs of young people and their families.

Lack of basic necessities is a significant cause of human mortality. Unsafe drinking water, poor sanitation and hygiene areĀ responsible for a variety of infectious diseases. In addition to lacking access to basic items, many youth lack knowledge about proper hygiene and cleanliness.

We strive to provide tools and toiletries that ensure basic human needs are being met. Our efforts make sure that families do not have to choose between food and hygiene products.
