Oak Youth Mentor

Oak Youth Mentors support, guide and tutor Acorn Members through role modeling, leadership, confidence building to teach valuable life lessons and skills that instill values and help youth excel academically, physically, socially, and emotionally.

Intervention through a structured mentor/mentee relationship will give young people the tools and support their need to deal effectively with social and personal influences such as peer pressure, substance abuse, sexuality, nutrition and mental health.

Oak Youth Mentor Member Benefits include but are not limited to; access to ALL Hygiene Services, Health Education Programs, Gardening Projects and Recreational Services.

Oak Youth Mentor Requirements:

  • Must be between the ages of 15 and 18 years old.
  • Must attend monthly club meetings.
  • Must be willing to commit a minimum of 2 hours per week with mentee.
  • Must attend required training sessions and special events.
  • Must abide by laws and code of ethics.
